Trustee – Mevin hails from the island of Mauritius and began his career in care under the advice of his greatest influence – His Mum. For this very reason it has always been a vocation to him. Mevin has a wealth of experience having worked for both private and public health care providers and ‘working his way up’. Prior to joining Barchester he worked as Home Manager for a specialist dementia and mental health care home. He also spent some years in London working for a large care company where he worked his way up from deputy manager to senior manager role which involved overseeing the smooth running of 16 homes including nursing, dementia, and mental health. Mevin has gained many qualifications including NVQ 5 Management and leadership. He strives for excellence and will dedicate all of himself to ensuring those he cares for have the best quality of life. Mevin is deeply passionate about bringing the absolute best out of everyone. Most of all he leads with heart. Mevin lives locally with his beautiful and devoted wife Rachel, and they have recently celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary. Mevin is also an avid Liverpool fan and will rarely miss a match! He loves to cook and is a trained chef. Also, music and dance are a huge vice to him.
