James Menhenitt

Trustee – James is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience in commercial business, utilities, local government, and financial services. Born and raised in the island of Guernsey, with a short spell in New York, he has acquired a deep understanding of all aspects of accounting and risk management, governance, and project oversight, including a £10m implementation of computer systems and an £85m refurbishment of Guernsey Airport’s runway and pavements. Currently, he heads up the finance function of a global gaming services provider.
Outside of working life, James has been married for 17 years and has two children in their teens and one nearly there. A former nationally ranked javelin, shot and discus thrower, he enjoys passing on his knowledge to the next generation as well as playing tennis and squash to a far, far lower standard!
Having had some personal experience caring for family members over the years, James recognises the importance of services that are provided by the Leonardo Trust and is looking forward to working with the Board and staff to advance the objectives of the Trust for the benefit of the community.
